About Me
Who Am I
Hello! I am a Registered Nurse (RN) that currently works for the Veterans Administration. I have been an RN for about 27 years, and in the medical career field for another 10 years or so. I spent 10 years in the US Army, then another 16 years or so in the US Air Force. I retired from the Air Force in 2016. I have been deployed to Operation Desert Shield/Storm with the Army, and have been to both Iraq and Afghanistan with the Air Force. I have played with Camera gear since I was about 8 years old. My first camera was an old Argus C-3, 35mm film camera. At age 10, I got a paper route and when I had made enough money, I purchased a Canon AE-1. I have had a number of different cameras after that, many of them were “point and shoot” due to the “military lifestyle”. After I retired, I decided that I needed a hobby and decided that I wanted to pick up a camera again. I decided to go Nikon. I currently shoot a Nikon Z-6 and Nikon Z-7ii mirrorless cameras. I have a few lenses that should allow me to do just about everything I want to do at this time. I am now working at both my photography skills AND learning how to do digital editing with Lightroom and Photoshop. I bring my gear with me on day trips, weekend trips, and special trips such as the North California/Oregon coast “road trip” that I did a few years ago, and the Iceland Photography Trip that I did in October 2021. Overall, I have having a great time! I decided that I would try selling some of my photography, so if you see something you like, please let me know. We will work out the details!
