Super Flower Full Moon with Blood Moon Total Lunar Eclipse

See a total eclipse of the moon. The “Blood Flower Moon” will be a 100% total eclipse that will turn a spectacular 100% reddish color, it will also be visible for nearly an hour and a half. The eclipse will be visible beginning at 8:27 p.m. on Sunday May 15 into Monday, 16, 2022. It’s going to have the spectacular red look to it for 84 minutes, making it the longest total lunar eclipse since 2018. And it won’t be topped totality-wise until June 2029. A partial eclipse will begin at 8:27 PM and the full eclipse will commence at 9:29 PM and last until 10:53 PM.

A total lunar eclipse, which happens as the full moon moves into the deep umbral shadow of the Earth, will be visible in total phase from portions of the Americas, Antarctica, Europe, Africa and the east Pacific. Meanwhile, a penumbral eclipse, an event arising when the moon is in the lighter penumbral shadow from our planet, will be visible in New Zealand, eastern Europe and the Middle East. Eclipse scientist Fred Espenak has listed May 15th’s full moon as a so-called supermoon, in which the full moon is at perigee (its closest to Earth of the month), making it a Super Blood Moon eclipse. space.com/blood-moon-lunar-eclipse-may-2022-guide
